I love the idea of a gift that can be changed out w/ the seasons...I especially love those huge glass blown vases/ oversized lidded apothecary type jars!  Just about every store carries some sort of them these days.  (I have several in various sizes around my garden tub filled w/ bath salts etc)  I also have a really large one filled with mercury glass bulbs on my dining room table.  I great gift is the jar!  Fill it with whatever the season dictates and afterwards the recipient can use it in a miriad of ways (wine bucket, easter eggs, valentines, terrarium) they range anywhere from $8 and up  and are a really impressive gift when filled!!
