This was a really good video about traditional style.
My dream style is ultra-modern, but we live in a Tuscany-inspired home in the Southwest. To remain true to the Mediterranean style, but still satisfy my modern urges, we're re-doing our kitchen in a warm contemporary style -- stainless steel appliances, rich warm wood cabinetry, an unexpected but warm Quartz countertop (Silestone Beige Olimpo), and some curves. There are arches above some of the doorways, so we're getting a curved stainless hood/vent and a curved island.
That's the plan, anyway. My challenge is to get out of the current "Bonanza" mode and into the 21st century, while not winding up in "The Jetsons." We're in week 8 of our 12 week project. Can anyone say "crockpot?"
